Q: Is your program covered by health insurance?

A: Health insurance typically does not cover the costs of an executive physical. Unless previous arrangements have been made with your company, you will be asked for payment at the time of your examination. Additional testing may or may not be covered by insurance; we encourage you to contact your health insurance provider and ask about any possible coverage for additional tests.

Q: How long does the Executive Physical take?

A: Most tests are conveniently performed within our office and conducted in a four to five hour period. We have morning and afternoon sessions available, five days a week.

Q: How far in advance do I need to schedule my appointment?

A: Plan to schedule about two to three weeks in advance. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of our clients' hectic schedules and can usually accommodate appointments sooner, if needed.

Q: What do I need to bring with me?

A: Please bring the following:

  • Your insurance card, as additional medical procedures, if ordered, might be billed to your insurance provider.
  • A list of current medications and any allergies to medications you may have.
  • Previous medical records, if available.

Q: What should I do to prepare for my executive physical?

A: We ask that you not have anything to eat or drink except water for at least 6 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Wear loose comfortable clothing for your physical that can be removed easily for examination purposes. Bring a sweater or sweatshirt, as examination rooms may be cool.

Part of your physical may involve being on a treadmill. Wear appropriate walking or running shoes and/or shoes that can also be easily removed during tests. Women scheduled or mammography should wear no body powder or deodorant until the test is complete. For any CT or radiology tests, a sports bra with no metal clasps is recommended.

Q: I am from out of town. Can someone help me arrange nearby hotel accommodation and transportation?

A: Our Executive Physical Coordinator will be happy to assist you with any travel arrangements you may need, including flight and hotel reservations, transportation to/from the airport, etc.
